1956 Individuals are a business to business product that was born out of the interactive technology that we created as part of our video game project within SKC Games Studio. Essentially they are interactive fully customisable characters that can be given knowledge to interact with and educate people across a diverse range of industries and settings.

The Role
  
We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine Engineer with 3+ years of experience in a similar position. You will be responsible for designing and developing interactive technologies for virtual production of 1956 Individuals AI avatars and delivering robust solutions with our team of developers and artists.
  
Job Responsibilities:
  • Developing virtual production of avatars and environments using Unreal Engine.
  • Implementing solutions and tools to enhance developer productivity.
  • Identify and address any stability, performance and security risks.
  • Working in a team of other developers and designers, sharing ideas.
  • Running unit and integration tests.
  • Conducting code reviews and providing code quality and standards compliance.
  • Being involved in processes of agile development.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar position..
  • Experience in the development of multiplayer games/VR applications, or other relevant applications.
  • Knowledge of UE client-server architecture.
  • Experience with C++ design and coding is a must.
  • Proficient with 3D coordinate systems and vector maths.
  • Experience with methods for representing rotation in 3D space is a must.
  • Good understanding of current industry trends.
  • A good understanding of performance and optimization.
  • Knowledge of Unity would also be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions.
